We have often received questions from our community about why the total supply of COS tokens comes out as 13.5 billion on CoinMarketCap while other websites such as CoinGecko display it as 10 billion when the Contentos whitepaper states that the supply of COS tokens is 10 billion total.
Here is our explanation.
In 2018, when Contentos launched, we issued 10 billion ERC-20 COS tokens. Our whitepaper stated that 3.5 billion COS tokens will be mined on the Contentos mainnet over a 12 year period, which meant that until the launch of the Contentos mainnet, no one should have access to the 3.5 billion COS tokens.
